-Kein Google Account von Nöten

-End-zu-End Verschlüsselung (OMEMO)

-Cross-Server Kommunikation, schreibe mit Nutzern anderer Anbieter

Berechtigungen:

-Telefon/Kontakte: TenguChat gleicht deine Kontaktliste mit deinen Freunden ab (dein Telefonbuch wird nicht zum Server übermittelt)

-Dateien/Bilder/Speicher: Zum abspeichern von Empfangenen/gesendeten Dateien

-Mikrofon/Kamera: Für Sprachnachrichten

-Standort: Zum Teilen des Standortes
